Nav and Alana are part of a Montessori at Home practicing family who believes that children should have freedom of movement and the right to gain independence and dignity through their furniture and toys. They encourage Montessori philosophy through handmade and natural materials, together with gentle parenting. Nav who has a degree in Engineering designs and and builds each piece of furniture one order at a time. Alana studied Languages and Education and enjoys writing on her blog Trini-Wife-Life. It is their hope that every local child has access to an education that promotes concentration, resilience and freedom whilst respecting the child. They live with their son Naval and cat Felix in South Trinidad.
